He holds the title of Sustainable Development Expert-Chemical Sector Coordinator of FEI/ECO-SD since 2005. He achieved a distinguished record in the field of Environment and Sustainable Development. He received his Bachelor degree in Science, Department of Chemistry, Cairo University and a Master of Science in Heterocyclic Synthesis of Biologically Active Compounds. Besides, he is qualified in the area of Occupational Health and Safety as a certified OHSAS 18001 auditor. He holds extra qualifications as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the American Energy Engineers Association, and he is an ISO 50001 auditor, as well. He is the Focal Point for the Responsible Care Chemical Industries Program. also advocating for local and international regulations that affects the chemical sector such as Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). He is Certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Environment as expert in the fields of Environment Management, Environment Auditing, Waste and Chemicals Management.
